A/Prof David Price

David is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, The University of Melbourne, where he leads a team of biostatisticians and co-leads the Computational Sciences Cross-Cutting Discipline. His team develops novel statistical methodology and provides statistical and modelling expertise to infection, immunity, and surveillance research. His primary research interests include Bayesian inference for clinical, immunological, and epidemiological data, and resource allocation optimisation for clinical trials and public health surveillance. His work integrates mechanistic disease modelling with formal statistical inference and mathematical optimisation methods to enable efficient study design and evidence generation.
